Traditional Q


ON THE MENU: On June 8,9 and 10, I’m will be teaching Traditional Q Cook School hosted by Myron Mixon Smokers and held at our new headquarters in Waterford, located on the Connecticut shoreline. I’ll be covering the selection and preparation of the four main proteins (brisket, pork butt, ribs, and chicken), a sampling of sauces, rubs and injections, cook times, and temperatures, including 1 or 2 classic sides and desserts to make you the King of the Cul De Sac.

5:00 to 6:00 pm arrival
If traveling from Mohegan Sun shuttle pick-up will be at 4:30 pm in the Lobby of the hotel. For those driving parking will be available at the Myron Mixon Smoker facility and across the street at Seconn Fabrication.

6:00 to 8:00 pm Dinner & Social 

7:30 to 8:30 am – Breakfast
8:30 to Noon – Instruction
12:00 to 1:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 to 5:30 pm – Continued Instruction(break mid-session)
5:30 approx. – Break for the evening
Students may enjoy the local area and restaurants

8:30 to 11:30 am – Instruction
11:45 to 1:00 pm – Lunch – (We’ll sample food that was prepped on Saturday)
1:30 pm – Departures will vary based on travel plans
